Prime Time gewinnt mit der Apella Invest AG neuen Kooperationspartner

Das Schweizer Unternehmen Prime Time AG holt sich mit der Apella Invest AG sowie einem weiteren privaten Financier neue Geldgeber ins Boot. Bis Mai 2011 war die auf Entwicklung und Verkauf von Multimedia-Geräten spezialisierte Prime Time AG zu 100% in Händen der beiden Firmengründer Mesut und Senol Güngör. Dank der Kooperation wird zum einen die Kapitalbasis des jungen, innovativen Unternehmens substantiell gestärkt. Zum anderen kann Prime Time auch in den Bereichen Unternehmensstrategie, Produktentwicklung, Marketing und Vertrieb auf das breite Know-how von Apella Invest bauen. Markus Buser, Verwaltungsratspräsident der Apella Invest AG und neu auch Präsident der Prime Time AG, ist davon überzeugt, „dass wir die Marke mit der Neupositionierung nachhaltig etablieren und ihre Präsenz am Markt weiter ausbauen können.“

Neue Massstäbe im Bereich Media Center

Mit SmartLine eröffnet Prime Time Fernsehanbietern eine neue Dimension im Bereich Home Entertainment, vereint die intelligente Set-Top-Box doch die komplette Medienvielfalt in einem kleinen, leistungsstarken Gerät – vom Festplattenrekorder (PVR), EPG, Video on Demand, Filme, Bilder, Musik, Internet und Onlinedienste bis hin zum Application Store.
Aufgrund der hohen Prozessorleistung kann SmartLine selbst grösste Datenmengen beim HDTV in hervorragender Qualität verarbeiten. Auch die integrierte Mediathek bietet ein breites Leistungsspektrum bei gleichzeitiger hoher Nutzerfreundlichkeit. New Prime Time Set-Top Box Enables Telecommunications Operators to Create Truly Connected Experience in Customers’ Living Rooms

LAS VEGAS – Jan. 6, 2011 – Prime Time Inc., a company specializing in TV set-top boxes, headquartered in Switzerland, today announces the launch of its latest set-top box, the Prime Time STB/MCSTB1, at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Prime Time’s latest product enables telecommunications operators to create a truly connected experience in customers’ living rooms.

The Prime Time STB/MCSTB1 is a set-top box built on the Windows Embedded Standard 7 platform and enables telecommunications operators to deliver premium services – including live, high-definition television (HDTV), DVR and on-demand programming – with no additional hardware tuner required. Through Prime Time’s innovative IPTV implementation, the product combines a server backend – including payment and signal delivery system – with Windows Media Center functionality from IPTV to standards like DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-T2, ISDB, ATSC and analog TV. The set-top box enables users to run live TV, personal video recorder (PVR) options, videos, music and pictures to the consumer’s living room through Windows Media Center in one, compact piece of hardware: 6.3” (16cm), 6.9” (17,5cm), 0.9” (2.3cm).

Additionally, Prime Time’s latest set-top box includes an Application Store feature available through Windows Media Center. Operators can offer customers a variety of “apps” through the store – from video communication and cloud gaming to online shopping – all accessible from the comfort of their living room. Operators can choose to offer the service for a fee, creating an additional revenue stream. The Software Development Kit (SDK) and a certification process are delivered through Prime Time Inc.
